Blackheath Flat

When the Australia based owner of this bright, spacious, ex-rental flat, overlooking Blackheath common, with its high ceilings and plethora of original features, put her property on the market, she did not expect to have problems finding a buyer. Several months later and without a single offer, she contacted JS Property Staging to help with a little home staging magic.

Aside the plight of all empty properties i.e. cold, univiting, difficult to visualise how the furniture would fit or imagine as a warm, cosy home, this flat had the added obstacle of one of the bedrooms being accessible only via the living room.

Having considered the likely buying audience, we decided to present the flat as a one bedroom property with enviable living and entertaining spaces. We created a sumptuous living room using large sofas and architectural plants and presented the second bedroom as a dining room. The hallway was large enough to incorporate home office area leaving the magisterial bedroom a relaxing oasis of calm with deep textured rugs and warm colours.

Within a week of the completing the staging the offers started rolling in and the flat was sold.
